Tina
Tina Conroy, was initially drawn to yoga for the physical benefits after the birth of her daughter. She soon found there was much more to yoga. Yoga is a connection of mind, body and spirit, and creates a sense of well being. Tina has had a personal yoga practice for more than ten years. She is teacher trained and certified at the 200 hour level with Suzanne Cardinal, ERYT-500 at Into This World Yoga Teacher Training, and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. She has completed additional teacher training certifications with Marsha Wenig of YogaKids®. She has also completed advanced training in teaching Prenatal Yoga. Tina is currently working towards her 500 hour certification and is the co-creator of the “Yoga Birthday Box”©. Tina found that yoga had transformed her life and wanted to share her love of yoga with children. She began teaching yoga to children in 2004 in Port Washington at Om Sweet Om Yoga studio. Soon, Tina found herself teaching teens and mother/daughter classes, and felt she had something to offer adults as well. She is grateful to be able to share this amazing gift of yoga with people of all ages. Tina has taught children in the after school Enrichment Program at St. Peter’s School in Port Washington, Manhasset School District’s Summer Center, Manhasset Library “Teen Center,” and Shelter Rock Jewish Center Nursery School. She currently teaches at Om Sweet Om Yoga studio, Equinox Fitness Clubs, Millpond Acres, Herrick’s Adult Education, and privately. She continues to be inspired by her teachers, Gail Grossman, Lisa Bondy, Suzanne Cardinal, and Marsha Wenig. Spiritual writers that have influenced Tina include Stephen Cope, and Eckhart Tolle. Tina guides each of her students to explore their own unique individuality. Her classes create safety and comfort and allow each student to be who they are. Her dedication and inspiration shines throughout her life, on and off the mat.
